The Book Publicity Blog

News, Tips, Trends and Miscellany for Book Publicists

Morning Brief — Wednesday, November 5

The New York Observer reports that U.S. News & World Report will become a monthly.  (If anyone even cares about any of this today.)

Well, maybe we should care a little.  North Carolina media escort Cindy Hamel says there is a new book show in Carrboro, NC (right next to Chapel Hill).  Cindy says the location is perfect for authors going to McIntyre’s or the Regulator (but within in driving distance for anyone visiting the Research Triangle area).

WCOM-FM / Carrboro Book Beat

Mondays, live from 10 -11 a.m.

You can find information about the show as well as contact information here.

And more good news: book/daddy reports two new bookstores have opened in the Dallas area: Legacy Books in Plano and Dicho’s (um, how exactly is that pronounced?) in Gainesville.
