Michael of Algonquin passed on some information about the Ernest J. Gaines Award for Literary Excellence due April 30:
Book-length works of fiction published in 2007 and written by an African-American are eligible for entry. No entry fee is required—to enter, simply send an entry form and eight copies of the book to:
