April PPA lunch with Reader’s Digest, Beliefnet, Jewish Week, LHJ.com
In addition to racing and watching Battlestar Galactica, I also serve as secretary of the PPA / Publisher’s Publicity Association, and in said capacity I do things like try to get publicists to attend monthly luncheons. This month’s lunch will be on Tuesday, April 22 at 3 West at 12:15 p.m. and features a panel of “Media for a Better Life” publications: Beliefnet.com, Fitness.com / LHJ.com / More.com, Jewish Week and Reader’s Digest.
Although I don’t work on any new age or selp-help titles come to think of it, I’m excited to attend this panel because the Planning Committee has done a great job of selecting publications that cover far more than simply new age or selp-help books. Also, Reader’s Digest is starting a couple new book sections, so I’d like to hear about that.
I have RSVPed to myself and you can too if you’re a book publicist — just respond to the invitation emailed to you or someone in your department ($65 PPA members / $75 for nonmembers).
