Social networking stats

For those of you who have been wondering how the social networking sites stack up, check out this post on Mashable.  MySpace is still the largest by far (in terms of visitors and site visits), but they’re also the only ones whose traffic has actually decreased in the past year (possibly due to people like me who shut down their accounts on International Delete Your MySpace Account Day).  Facebook is #2, as many of you might have guessed, Bebo #5, LinkedIn #8 and Friendster (they’re still around?) #11.

And for authors with more than one social networking profile (although I can only think of … one — out of the 150 or so authors I’ve worked with) there is a new social networking aggregator called socialthing!.  TechCrunch has a piece about that today.
