NPR Books Watch Contest (3/28-4/3)
Ellen Silva called a couple days ago and mentioned that I may be missing some books stories. (She pointed to a couple ATC pieces I hadn’t picked up.) This weekend I’m going to adjust my feeds so I should see all the books stories (many, but apparently not all of which are posted to the NPR Books page). For now, below is what was posted to the books page.
The way the contest works is the first person to email me the imprints (or houses if no imprint is available) will win the NPR Books Grid for the prior week that includes, in addition to the information below, interviewer, pub date, imprint, post-interview Amazon ranking, pre-interview ranking (if the book was mentioned on Shelf Awareness and I was able to look up the number before the interview), subject category and interview hyperlink.

Using Facebook to efficiently market stuff
For authors who are pretty Net savvy but who could use some additional pointers, Jesse Stay’s post on Guy Kawasaki’s blog How to Change the World should come in handy. Stay talks about things like how to syndicate a Facebook blog, how to upload photos and change status by phone, how to post information only to certain demographics and more.
